wish we were allowed to---but we dont own it so, we cant do anything to it.

hubby took me out for lunch (since we had nothing in the fridge)....had a huge omelet with grits on the side...wasnt hungry at dinner either. Think we will have to bit the bullet and go shopping tomorrow.

and I think we should dust off that arc-----

I think I finally have the upper hand with my cold!
(and finally looked hard at the door--there is no bolt!-the part that goes into the frame...certainly hope they are going to put one in, or dangblastit I will go and buy one and do it myself!)

thanks---had a nice massage today as well....and a good nap. though I think that mid life crisis I have been ignoring is getting too big to ignore

so if men go and buy red convertibles when they hit theirs, what do women do?.....ah well ....need to go and figure out what is left to eat ----

rr, I have to agree that most of my life has been that way, but some years seem much worse than others (end of '84 to mid '85 was just such a time period--dad died, car died-more than once, I got a bad case of mono, uncle died, grandma died, we moved, my first LT bf dumped me----yep bad times).....this year is getting to be another one of those, the problem is: I am not 18 anymore, and not quite as 'elastic' as I once was (not able to bounce back).....
now years look more like federal disaster areas (could I call for some clean up moneys???) with a few lulls in between. (if this is an amusement park ride...I think I left my stomach back at age 10, my liver and heart somewheres in the 20's and some limbs in the 30's----and this ride doesnt seem to be slowing down!!)

I think a tardis would be nice about now, take a week off, come back in 2 or so hours nicely rested and ready to take on the next hurricane or flood----

pwnd....dont I wish I could have such a care-free attitude!

I could use a week off... Guess a 3-day weekend next week will have to do. Of course during that 3 day weekend I'll be fishing so that will be nice.

I'm kinda care free. or is it empathy i lack, well it's 1 of those 2, take your choice. I hope i never get a mid life crisis, it sounds so odd and annoying.

I have a bunch of them....but I play at weird times.....
had to have a fasting blood test today....16 hours without food is nuts (was only supposed to be 12, but I over slept and then I had to wait almost an hour to get the test done!)....still feel wozy from it.

Another crisis, our hot water heater burst last night and dumped 30 gallons of water in the cellar. Today we are looking for a new one and a plumber to install it and we are still having periodic rain, it's been that way for a week.

sounds like my kind of week rr---good luck with the plumber et al (at least its not like 9pm on friday night!)....my last hot water heater I got from a place that installed it as well as took the old one away.---I am sure they have these in the old colonies!

Oh man, plumbers... When I was younger my brother and I were kicking a soccer ball around the basement. We hit the water pipe and burst it. Water everywhere. My mom and grandpa (dad was on a business trip) spent hours cleaning it up before the plumber got there. When he went to install the new pipe he over tightened it and burst it again... More water in the basement. Not cool. So good luck.

We found a plumber (recommended by a friend) who will replace the old heater with a larger 40 gallon heater and take the old one away, for $825. it's being done tomorrow, one more morning of stove heating bathing water, I refuse to take a cold wshower

at least its not the middle of winter! when I lived in japan my apartment had a smaller heater for the bath water and a smaller one for the kitchen sink----only problem was my first year I was unaware you could change the strength of the bath one...it had been left on level 1 (it has 3 levels) so I was taking pretty cool showers until I contacted the previous tenant and she informed me you can turn it up!
(also had issues with keeping heat IN my apartment that year, got an additional room heater the next year so it was toasty warm to take a shower the 2nd year, but the first year....think camping trip and taking a shower in the camp showers---in the middle of winter!)
